F.A.Q.
WHAT IS AN ADDICTIONS & SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROGRAM?
An addictions & substance abuse program is a psycho-educational course which focuses on educating the client on substance abuse (alcohol and/or drug) & use or addiction issues.
WHAT IS ADDICTIONS & SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELING?
Addictions & Substance Abuse Counseling is one-on-one private counseling focused on providing intensive support to individuals who struggle with substance (alcohol and/or drug) use or dependence issues. This type of counselling is suited for clients who recognize that they are struggling and who want to work towards their specific goals. This allows the client to express themselves openly to the counselor about their specific issues, allowing the client and counselor privacy to work together towards the client's personal goals. We offer in-office and online live counseling.
IS THIS COURT-APPROVED?
Depending on the course that you take, this may be suitable for your case. We ask that you call us to discuss and check with your attorney or crown attorney to make sure this is what they are looking for. The Anger Managers proudly has a 100% court-approval rate. We work directly with courts and Crown Attornies (criminal, domestic violence, family, youth & immigration) across Canada. We have a very strong presence in the Court system.
IS THIS A GROUP PROGRAM?
The Anger Managers has both group addictions and substance abuse classes (1-Day, 10-Week) and private addictions and substance abuse classes and counseling services. Call us to find out which program is right for you.
IS THE 1-DAY CLASS ENOUGH FOR ME?
Court/3rd Party Clients: We ask that before registering you know, with all certainty, that a fast-tracked course like this is sufficient. We can help in this process. Please just give us a call (647) 528-3412
All other clients: We do not recommend a 1-Day Addictions and Substance Abuse program for clients looking to help. Instead, we suggest that the client enrolls in the 10-Week program or the Private Counselling.
CAN I DO THIS AFTER WORK?
Yes. The Anger Managers have a very flexible schedule. We are open from 9:00 am - 9:00 pm seven days per week. If your schedule is different from ours, we will try to accommodate your schedule.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The cost of this program depends on your situation, the method in which you take the course (in-office, online, etc.) and how you want to pay (up-front or hourly). At times the courts ask you to complete more than 10 session (as much as 52 hours). The Anger Managers work with your exact situation to find a solution that works for you.
Our fees are $136-198/session plus manual and exit report, if you are paying on an hourly basis and as low as $910.00 if you are paying up-front.
DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR MATERIALS?
A manual and all extra materials are included in the cost of the group programs and all private counseling packages - when paying up-front. If you are paying on an hourly basis then you will be charged $60 for a manual and $115 for a completion report, if needed.
